Digital judging, without the setup overhead

Traditional gymnastics judging software requires dedicated hardware, specialist installation, or a technical administrator on the day. ChalkItUp runs in a browser. Judges open a link on any phone or tablet, enter a competition code and a four-digit PIN, and they're scoring within seconds. No app to download. No accounts to create in advance. The whole panel can be running in under ten minutes from first login.

Score entry follows the format your judges already work in. Simple mode takes one total score. D+E mode splits difficulty and execution. D+E+ND adds neutral deductions — the full FIG WAG format. For execution judges working in deduction mode, the system takes the deduction value and calculates the E score automatically, matching the way most judges are trained to think.

Competition management software that keeps you in control

ChalkItUp is gymnastics meet management software built around the reality of competition day. The admin dashboard shows, in one place: who's checked in, how many scores are pending, where the gaps are, and whether scoring integrity checks are clean. Clicking any alert takes you directly to the gymnast or panel that needs attention — no hunting through menus.

Score visibility is separate from score entry. You decide when scores appear on the public leaderboard. Hold them until after the medal ceremony, release them to coaches first via a PIN-protected coach view, or publish automatically as each rotation completes. Rankings can be held separately from scores, so clubs can verify the numbers are correct before the finishing order is announced.

Live gymnastics results for spectators and clubs

The public leaderboard is a link. Copy it from the competition dashboard and put it on screens in the venue, text it to coaches, or post it in the club group chat. It loads on any device, updates automatically as scores come in, and shows all-around rankings alongside per-apparatus results with D/E breakdown.

A coach view filters to one club's gymnasts only, behind a 4-digit PIN. A separate announcer mode — designed for use at the results table — shows large gymnast cards in a 3-column grid with tick-off tracking for each medal category. For venue displays, the Live Scoreboard feature runs on a big screen or projector, rotating through categories and updating automatically throughout the competition.

Multiple E judges and shared device scoring

Competitions running separate D and E panels are fully supported. Each E judge logs in with their own PIN and submits independently; the system averages scores automatically and applies drop-high/low when four or more E judges are used. For events where all E judges share a single tablet, shared device mode lets every judge enter scores on one iPad using a single Device PIN — no individual accounts needed.

Who it's for

ChalkItUp is used by gymnastics clubs across the UK running everything from in-house gradings to multi-session regional competitions. We handle any apparatus setup — you define it, and it works for WAG, MAG, or any bespoke setup. It's simple to set up, and you have full control to make your event as bespoke or standard as you wish. It handles multiple rounds, team scoring, and multi-judge panels with separate D and E judges. A free trial lets you run a full end-to-end test — wizard, entries, live judging, and public leaderboard — with up to ten gymnasts before committing to a plan.

Results export to a formatted spreadsheet or a print-ready PDF, with medal colouring, D/E/ND breakdown per apparatus, and one page per level. If your club runs competitions and you're still managing scores on a spreadsheet or paying for software that takes half a day to configure, ChalkItUp is worth thirty minutes of your time.
